Popular culture groups from the neighbourhood and the city will all perform connecting the history and symbolism of the Basilica to the history of Barcelona. The performances will highlight the historical, social and cultural importance of this commemoration. They aim to convey the weight and significance of this festive popular event to the audience. Performers will include gegants, esbarts, human castles, bestioles, diables and the Àliga de Barcelona.

The Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB), the District, the Basilica, and the Coordinadora d’Entitats are collaborating in the event.
