INAUGURATION OF A TACTILE MODEL OF THE FULL TEMPLE WITH COLLABORATION FROM THE ONCE FOUNDATION

Fruit of our stable collaboration with the ONCE Foundation, and as part of the hundredth anniversary celebrations, we are presenting this tactile model of the Temple to open up the Sagrada Família to people who are blind or partially sighted.

Discovering the forms and essence of a monument like the Basilica of the Sagrada Família can be a challenge for people with visual difficulties. So, tactile experiences are a key tool, and must follow a clear path: from the whole to the details.

With this goal, the Sagrada Família and ONCE Foundation have taken an important step forward by creating an overall model of the Temple. This piece will allow visitors to perceive the whole building, the number of towers, the cloister and the chapels around it. It is a representation that helps users understand the architectural structure, which reaches up towards the sky with all its elements -large and small- laid out in harmony.
