The Passion Façade of the Sagrada Família hosted a unique performance with 200 participants.

It was an exceptional performance of scenes from the Passion of Christ on the Passion Façade of the Sagrada Família, organised by the Catalan Federation of Passion Plays.

Under the motto “the stone comes to life”, around 200 participants —including actors, musicians and singers— brought to life a performance combining theatre, music and live singing, transforming this emblematic space into a living stage.

The event began at 8:45 pm with a musical introduction, followed by institutional speeches (9 pm) and then the performance.

Three renowned Catalan Passion plays took part: La Bisbal d’Empordà, Mataró and Ulldecona, staging different episodes of the Passion, from the trial before Pilate to the crucifixion and the descent from the cross.

The event, open to the public, offered a new perspective on the Passion Façade, merging heritage and performing arts in an immersive experience.
