Valls will pay tribute to Antoni Gaudí with an institutional and popular event at the Basilica of the Sagrada Família. Promoted by the Valls City Council with collaboration from the Junta Constructora de la Sagrada Família, the day will celebrate the historical relationship between the architect, the Temple and Valls, the capital of Alt Camp county.

It will kick off in front of the Nativity façade with human towers by Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls and Colla Joves Xiquets de Valls, followed by an institutional event and talk by theologian Armand Puig. Afterwards, during the international mass, the two groups will build castells inside the Temple as a symbol of the union of Gaudí’s architecture and the human tower tradition.

The tribute will finish in the crypt with the laying of flowers at Gaudí’s tomb and two five-storey human towers with one person in each level.
