This programme revolves around three major events converging in 2026, a key year for the city and Gaudí’s legacy.

The first is the celebration of the Gaudí Year and the hundredth anniversary of his death. This will be an opportunity to remember and continue highlighting Gaudí as a person, as well as promoting and sharing his legacy. The second is the completion of the tower of Jesus Christ, at 172.5 metres, and the third is the fact that Barcelona has been named World Capital of Architecture for 2026.

There will be several events, starting in autumn 2025.

The Sagrada Família wants this commemoration to become a true city-wide celebration. For this reason, invitations will be made available to the public for all events, so that everyone can participate.  Some events will be open to all, while for others capacity will be limited. Yes, all events within the Basilica are adapted. Additionally, there will be priority access for people with disabilities and/or reduced mobility.

The inauguration of the Tower of Jesus Christ will be broadcast live on television and can also be watched from the street. Complete information will be available in the corresponding activity description.

Once inaugurated, it will take a few months before access to the tower is possible. Details regarding conditions and the access schedule will be published later.
